This is great and very well done, Kudos. I would like to use my own movie clip and put the lights around it. There are sample movie clips in the generator file but I don’t see a way to get the lights around my own movie clip. Can this be done? Maybe I missed how to do this in the .doc?

Never mind, I figured it out and just substituted my own MC in the light generator file, then copied that into my own file. Thanks for this great piece of work.

“Does not require great knowledge of ActionScript to use: copy/paste”

Well I guess I know nothing about Actionscript then because hell if I could get this to adapt to another movieclip.

To create contour lights in our image.

The image must be GIF , PNG or MovieClip with a transparent background.

1/ Open Light_GENERATOR.fla

2/ Save it under another name to work with the copy.

3/ At timeline marking the first frame of the actions layer and open the Actions pane to see the code.

4/ Insert these three lines in the function detectBorder() below the line: 335 render._visible = true;

mc0._x = 10 ; mc0._y = 10; mc0.moveTo(mc0._width+20, mc0._height+20); mc0.lineTo(mc0._width+21, mc0._height+20);

5/ Open Light_GENERATOR library( or ist newname file), openMovieclips folder, open a movieclip in that folder (example: ball1)

6/ On Stage we have the movieclip ball1, delete it and put in place our image.

7/ Save the file and run the program(Ctrl+Enter)

8/ Now we can select our image on the bottom line and add the features you want.

9/ Proceed now as indicated by the PDF with instructions.
